Admissions Overview

DownloadGeneral Information Package

The Nexus academic year starts in August and ends in June. There are four (4) terms in the academic year.

Our largest enrolment is in August, which is the start of the academic year. We begin reviewing applications in February. It is important that parents keep their children's applications current by updating us with recent school records. In March, current students are asked to re-enrol for the upcoming school year. The number of returning students tells us the number of new students we can accept for Term 1. Acceptance letters start going out in April. Students will continue to be accepted through the summer until the start of school, subject to availability of places.

The Admissions Office is open 12 months of the year, excluding Singapore public holidays, from Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 5.30pm and from 8.00am to 5.00pm on Friday.

Applications can be submitted throughout the calendar year and application documentation may be scanned and emailed through to us. Students are accepted as spaces become available.

Age recommendations

As students join Nexus from countries and educational systems around the world, the exact age requirements for each year group varies. The final decision on the grade level a student is to join will be dependent upon the assessment and/or interview at the time of application and previous school records. As a general rule, students at Nexus fall in the following age groups at the start of the academic year in August:

Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) nationality regulations

In accordance with Singapore law, Nexus may only admit students who are not Singapore Citizens (by either birth or registration). Students who are Singapore Citizens require approval from the Ministry of Education (MOE) before acceptance to Nexus can be considered.

How to apply

In the Admissions Office we will provide as much information as we can to help parents make informed choices regarding their children's education. Parents who wish to enrol their children at Nexus are invited to tour the school with the Admissions Office staff.

You are welcome to visit the School at any time but it is advisable to arrange an appointment with our Admissions Office, as we will be able to attend to you more effectively e.g. arranging meeting with our Head of School, if we know that you are coming.
