Minimum Entry Requirements

Admission to Nexus International School (Singapore) is open to learners of all nationalities who demonstrate the capacity to benefit from the challenging international curriculum offered by the school.

We do not discriminate against individuals based on race, colour, religion, disability or ethnic background. In instances where learning support would be needed, suitability of each candidate is considered on a case by case basis to ensure that we are able to meet the learning needs of each child.

We may also take into account a learner’s educational and linguistic background in order to fulfil the school’s duty to provide education in the English medium to the International community. We therefore conduct a range of tests to determine whether a child will be able to access the courses offered by Nexus. In addition to the caveat described above around learning support needs, a child must demonstrate a reading age in English within 3 years of their actual age.

Graduation Requirements

All learners that complete Year 13 are awarded a Nexus Graduation certificate, regardless of qualifications obtained.

Conduct of Assessments and Examinations

All qualifications available to students are externally assessed or moderated and are awarded independently of Nexus staff by the appropriate bodies for that course (CIE or IB).

Nexus International School conducts all assessments and examinations in line with strict policies as determined by the external bodies, the CIE (Years 10 and 11) or the IBO (Years 12 and 13), and is inspected and vetted against these policies regularly.

Progression from Year to Year

All students automatically progress to the next chronologic course (or Year); there are no end of Year examinations that determine graduation.
