Choosing the right school for your child is a daunting task. At Nexus we encourage you to ask us as many questions about the school and life in Singapore. The best way to know if Nexus is the right choice for you is to book a tour and explore the school. On your tour you can ask our teachers and learners about what makes Nexus different.

EASY APPLICATION

We understand that starting or changing schools can be overwhelming. We don't have a complicated online application portal, just friendly, personal, step-by-step assistance. We need supporting documents like your family's passports, your child's academic reports and vaccination records.

ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT

If your child is in Year 2 and above they complete a simple online assessment in person or with their current class teacher if they are not in Singapore. We put the results of these together with their previous school reports for review by our Heads of School. We will then send you an electronic Student Contract to sign.

FAMILY ORIENTATION

In the run up to the start of class we help to get everything else arranged for you, whether it is Student Pass application or guidance on where to live. Close to your child's start, we'll also arrange an orientation to meet with one of our senior team, answer any questions, get ID passes, and for our older learners to have an IT induction.

JOINING THE NEXUS FAMILY

Across the school there are parent representatives that will help you settle in, from keeping up to date with your child's activities, communicating important school information and even organising family get-togethers. We also have our parent group (with their own lounge) that organises family activities, parent get-togethers, coffee mornings, school discos and more. You are bound to feel at home at Nexus!

Choosing the right school for your child can be a challenging task, and the Admissions team will do our best to address any questions you may have. International School Admission Age & Requirements

We welcome applications from international students of all nationalities who demonstrate the capability to benefit from our rigorous curriculum. As we accept students from countries and educational systems across the world all year round, the exact age requirement for admission to each year group varies. The final decision on a student’s grade level will be based on the admission test and interview outcomes, and previous school records. 

At Nexus, we offer our learners the following accredited international curriculum programmes: 

  • International Baccalaureate Nursery, Primary & Middle Years Program (IB PYP, IB MYP - Nursery to Year 8) 
  • English National Curriculum (Year 9)
  • UK International General Certificate Secondary Education (IGCSE - Year 10 & 11)
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP - Year 12 & 13)

Application Form

OUR APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. 1
    COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM

    Email your completed application form to our admissions team and pay the application fee.

  2. 2
    PROVIDE ADMISSIONS WITH SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

    This includes school reports, birth certificates, family passports for the whole family, employment/dependent passes, immunisation records and any other assessment reports.

    GETTING TO KNOW YOUR CHILD

    We schedule an assessment for all learners entering Year 3 and above to help us choose the right class and teacher for their learning journey. For applicants that may require some learning or language support, we may require some follow-up consultations through face-to-face conversations, video calls or trial days.

    APPLICATION REVIEW

    Our Heads of School will review your application to make the best recommendation for your child.

  5. 5
    SIGN THE STUDENT CONTRACT

    An enrolment contract will be sent to you to review and sign to accept your place at Nexus. You will also need to pay the enrolment fee.

    WELCOME TO THE NEXUS FAMILY

    All families will get the chance to meet staff and teachers, see the learning spaces and help your child be ready for the first day of school.
