Steve hails from Johannesburg, South Africa where he was fortunate to grow up in the multicultural and diverse sport mad Rainbow Nation. He started his teaching career in 2002 and has gone on to teach young learners, teens and adults specialising in Bilingual and Multilingual Languages, Teacher Training (CELTA) and IELTS in Johannesburg and Bangkok. While working as a Senior Teacher at IH Johannesburg, he was promoted to Cambridge Exams Manager and went on to establish the first online Cambridge exams center in South Africa. He believes that it is vital to have an educational philosophy that caters towards individual learning needs that will benefit learners in later life. Additionally, that learners should be challenged in meaningful and proactive ways making suitable connections that will guide their learning in a creative way, making it enjoyable through a nurturing environment. Outside of work, Steve enjoys exercising and playing sport as well as traveling and spending time with his wife and two boys. In his teens, he played football in South Africa and once had aspiring dreams of one day playing for Liverpool FC.
