Originally from New Zealand, Peter Derrick used to teach in the local and international schools in New Zealand and Shanghai (China) respectively before his current position in Nexus. In the classroom, Peter is dedicated to his learners, striving to lift the level of achievement for every individual. He promotes a holistic approach to learner development, taking into consideration the emotional, social and academic needs of each learner. His goal is to help empower learners to be the best they can. Peter has coaching experience in several sports and has been active with both cross-country and golf at Nexus. He enjoys exploring Singapore with his wife and two lovely daughters and occasionally venturing to Malaysia or Indonesia to play golf.
