Rick is from Nova Scotia, Canada where he obtained a degree in Recreation Management. He had taught in Singapore for nine years before teaching at schools in Denmark and Vietnam. He is excited to be returning to Singapore and beginning a new teaching journey at Nexus. Before Rick began his international teaching career, he taught in Ottawa, Canada where he obtained his degree in Education with a background in Special Education. He has taught HPE and primary homeroom for most of his career. He has also been actively involved with coaching, student council and social-emotional learning at his previous schools. Rick moved to Singapore with his wife Huyen, who is also a teacher. Together, they love being active and travelling as much as possible.
