Sonya Thompson joined our Nexus community in 2016. Her teaching experience includes her home country of New Zealand, as well as England and Switzerland. Sonya has taught a wide range of Year groups, including eighteen years in the Middle School. She is passionate about providing opportunities for learners to develop and apply a growth mindset. She supports every learner to think deeply, challenge themselves and to be empowered to achieve their personal goals. At Nexus, Sonya takes an active part in our CCA programme as a Netball and Athletics coach, and is also a member of ANZA Cycling. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young boys exploring the green spaces of Singapore and seeking adventures.
