Graduate Diploma of Teaching - University of Otago, NZ

Bevan Moriaty has been a loyal member of our Nexus community since the early years when the school was founded in Singapore. Being the Director of Sport and a Physical and Health Education teacher, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience from his proud home, New Zealand, having taught Physical Education for eleven years prior to his move to Singapore. Bevan holds the responsibility of organising and directing our Nexus representative sport programme as the Director of Sport. He encourages an inclusive approach with all learners in sports, with a focus on respect, enjoyment and excellence. Bevan is also the Head Coach of our girls' Volleyball programme and the Chairperson of ACSIS Volleyball in Singapore, in his attempt to continually develop the sport across the island. His teaching is based around building positive learning focused relationships with learners. Outside of school, he spends time with his lovely wife and three fabulous young, and very active, children. Bevan also enjoys travelling, reading and collects vintage toys, mainly Star Wars and Matchbox cars.
