Susan Lussenhop

Susan is originally from Chicago, USA where she taught World, US and Asian History for 6 years before heading overseas. She has a double major in Secondary Education and History from Winona State University in Minnesota (USA) where she also had a scholarship to play on the womens soccer team. She also holds a Masters degree in Guidance and Counselling from James Cook University (Australia). After leaving the USA she was a curriculum coordinator at MEF International School-Izmir in Turkey where she also taught History, Humanities and did some academic advising. In 2008 she came to Singapore and worked at Overseas Family School for 11 years. Much experiences was gained in the IB with DP, MYP and IGCSE History, Geography and Humanities. She also taught TOK, built a large peer tutoring program for the secondary school and with her mindfulness teacher training certification ran many mindfulness sessions for the secondary school. For the last 3 years she has also been the Teacher Librarian and has worked across the school to support literacy and reading programs. She has two children who will be joining Nexus this year.
