Science Teacher (Physics)
Master of Physics - University of Sheffield
PGCE - University of Manchester
Born and raised in the North of England, Tamzin attended one of the top state schools in the UK before achieving an Integrated Masters in Physics, specialising in defence applications of Particle Physics. During her degree, she studied in the USA, and subsequently spent time working at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California.
Having pursued academic research (and a year of backpacking), Tamzin realised her passions lay in sharing her love of Physics with others, returning to the UK to complete a PGCE teaching qualification. She has taught in UK state schools before moving to Singapore to join Nexus.
When not talking about how wonderful Physics is, Tamzin can be found training as an Olympic Weightlifter (not that she’s going to be at the Olympics any time soon!), eating local foods or planning for her next travel destination.
