Tony Hall

Originally from Australia, Tony Hall used to live in Japan, Thailand and New Zealand, before arriving in his current city of Singapore. He was previously an ESL/EFL instructor alongside being CELTA-certified, before training as a teacher. He is currently working on his MEd from the University of Waikato (NZ). His lessons are inquiry-driven with a focus on helping learners develop skills that will enable them to take ownership of their learning. The latter is something he gained from the Cognitive Coaching training he undertook in 2017. Tony works hard to maintain a safe and enjoyable learning environment in his classroom through strong relationships with learners. Aside from a deep fascination for Geography, he has a keen interest in using digital technology to enhance learning opportunites in a meaningful way. Outside school time, Tony enjoys photography, reading Asian crime fiction and spending time with his children.
