Originally from the UK, Alex grew up with a passion for the natural world and drive to understand it better. Whilst completing his Undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, where he was awarded the prize for the highest grade in his cohort, he realised that he was passionate about sharing his love and appreciation of the natural world with others and thus decided to become a science teacher. Alex has taught science in both the UK and China before moving to Singapore and joining Nexus.

Apart from his love for science and the natural world, Alex has a keen interest in music and an appreciation of how it can bring people together. He enjoys attending live music events as well as playing music himself.
