Asawari is a British citizen with an Indian origin. Having lived in eight countries, she embodies the essence of a global citizen. Her rich experiences of living and teaching in the USA, Europe, and Asia have shaped her into an open-minded, resilient, and adventurous individual. She strives to instil these qualities in her learners. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi, Asawari has also studied German and French.

With a master’s degree in fine arts from India and a PGCE from the UK, Asawari is a dedicated professional artist and educator. Her passion for visual arts and education is evident in her regular exhibitions across multiple countries. She firmly believes in lifelong learning and the power of a growth mindset.

Asawari aims to ignite a love for art and creativity among her learners. In her classroom, she values creativity and diversity, fostering an inclusive and safe environment where students feel a sense of belonging. She encourages them to express their identities through art, think outside the box, and take risks.

Currently residing in Singapore with her husband, Asawari is a proud mother of two daughters—one a lawyer and the other a university student. She places high importance on mental and physical well-being, regularly practicing yoga and music. Asawari is excited to join the Nexus team and bring her unique perspective to the community.
