Bhavana’s teaching journey is marked by her dedication and commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment for her learners. In 2011, she relocated to Singapore from the UK and joined Nexus, embarking on a new chapter in her teaching career. Bhavana’s teaching philosophy is centred around play-based learning and she enjoys discovering ways of teaching Phonics and Maths using a multi-sensory approach. Bhavana believes that building strong relationships with learners contributes to creating a supportive and nurturing classroom environment where learners feel valued. Furthermore, she places importance on promoting learner wellbeing through the use of mindfulness techniques and stories. Since joining Nexus, Bhavana has enjoyed leading teams in Kindergarten, Year One and Two and has coordinated various initiatives within these teams and across the school. Outside of her professional pursuits, Bhavana enjoys discovering new coffee shops and travelling with her husband and children.
