A passion for education both in and outside the classroom, Cassie believes that we never stop learning. Cassie has recently completed her PhD in Music Education from the University of Queensland in Australia which investigated early career instrumental music teacher identity. She earned her Master’s in Music Psychology in Education from the University of Sheffield, UK and a Bachelor of Music from Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Australia. Recently she has been studying School Leadership and Management through Harvard University, USA.
Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Cassie has taught in Sydney, the UK, Bangkok, Singapore and most recently, on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. With both an instrumental and classroom background spanning over 15 years, she is excited to be back in Singapore and working at Nexus where she hopes to create a lifelong enjoyment and appreciation for music in every student. She is excited to introduce life in Singapore to her daughter, who will also be studying at Nexus. In her free time, Cassie enjoys running, travelling and learning the cello.
