Originally from the East Coast of South Africa, Chelsea has spent most of her career living abroad and teaching in international schools in Singapore and the United Kingdom. She has extensive experience teaching learners who are new to the English language and relies on evidence-based approaches to shape best practice in the classroom. Chelsea is passionate about supporting learners to overcome barriers to be able to access every aspect of the curriculum and opportunities on offer. Chelsea’s classroom is one in which individual learners are nurtured to become resilient inquirers and are celebrated as they develop their character.
With three of her own children attending Nexus, Chelsea is excited about the innovative, open-minded and dynamic learning environment that Nexus offers.
