An enthusiastic member of the Secondary English department and teacher in charge of the IB School Supported Self Taught Literature course (SSST), Kate Ellicott is an experienced teacher of the IGCSE and IB, as well as KS3. Originally from New Zealand, Kate has been teaching English for fourteen years, with international experience in Sri Lanka and Thailand prior to Singapore. She is dedicated to ensuring that each learner is inspired and supported in becoming the best they can be. It is important to Kate to foster and develop positive and meaningful learning relationships where individuals feel valued and appreciated – able to be themselves and thrive. Committed to continuous learning, Kate is currently working on her Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy through Monash University, Melbourne. In her spare time Kate enjoys travelling and keeping fit, as well as fostering animals for the SPCA.
