Katie has taught in the UK for 9 years. She is a passionate early years teacher and her purpose as an educator is to inspire and challenge children to be independent, curious and inquisitive life-long learners. She believes the environment plays a crucial part in children’s learning and aims to provide a space to feel safe, secure and valued. She uses evidence-based research to develop children’s learning spaces and continually strives to adapt and improve the provision according to the children’s needs. She supports learners to thrive and achieve their potential through high quality interactions and exciting learning opportunities. She believes children learn best through play and inquiry and provides children with time to explore, discover and wonder. Outside the classroom, Katie loves running and likes taking part in races and has ran three marathons. She also likes yoga, travel and exploring new cultures and culinary delights.
