Rita Wong grew up in Canada, where she studied mathematical biology in university. As a result of her background, her lessons have an emphasis on interdisciplinary links and practical applications of the concepts covered. It is always exciting when a child discovers that the Fibonacci sequence is present in pine cones, or that a mathematical model can predict the population growth of a bacterial colony. She has spent over a decade teaching in Hong Kong, with extensive experience in teaching IGCSE and IB courses. Rita is always excited to share her passion of mathematics with the community. Outside of the classroom, she is keen to explore the cycling trails and yoga studios in Singapore.
