Serene earned her Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education from Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia, in 2010.

Serene’s journey into education began with part-time piano teaching during her Diploma in Banking and Financial Services at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Despite starting in finance after graduation, she felt a strong pull towards teaching children. Within a year, she transitioned to a full-time Teacher Assistant role at a local kindergarten, finding joy in the daily challenges and surprises of working with young learners. Serene has been dedicated to early childhood education for 15 years before joining Nexus.

In her free time, Serene enjoys reading, gaming, and engaging in DIY projects while her six cats keep her company.
