Originally from the UK, Shanaz has worked in Germany, Qatar, Brunei and Singapore. She focuses on encouraging learners to think rather than be told, ask open-ended questions that allow them to think deeply and come up with creative ways to solve problems connected to real world events. She hopes to inspire her learners as a knowledgeable teacher who brings curiosity and creativity to their learning.

Outside of school, Shanaz enjoys indoor rock climbing and hiking in areas of natural beauty. She loves to travel and explore new places and other cultures.
