Sonia is a Singaporean who has over a decade of experience teaching early years learners, at a variety of international schools within Singapore. She graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Lugansk State Medical University, Ukraine before embarking on an exciting and rewarding move into education.

Sonia believes that children learn best in a nurturing, child-initiated and play-based environment. She feels that this fosters self-confidence, trust, creativity, autonomy and acceptance of individual differences.

In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and adorable dachshund exploring new spots in Singapore to dine. She also has a keen interest in travelling and enjoys learning about various cultures, cuisine and languages.
