Tamara comes from a multicultural background, having grown up in both Papua New Guinea and Australia. After completing a Bachelor of Education (Primary) in 2005, Tamara taught in both the public and private education sectors in Australia. For the past 14 years, she has taught in the Early Years setting in international schools in Indonesia and Singapore. Tamara is a passionate lifelong learner and values professional development as an integral aspect of being an educator. She creates warm, learner-centred and safe learning environments where children can develop individually and collaboratively by understanding how they approach their learning journey alongside their lessons. Outside of the classroom, Tamara enjoys exercising with her husband, baking treats for her 2 children and reading crime thrillers.
