Originally from the United States, Tom has been teaching English Language Arts and Acquisition for over 10 years with experience in the US, South Korea, and China before arriving in Singapore. He holds BAs in the fields of Anthropology and Religious Studies from George Mason University and an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Nottingham, with other teaching qualifications from the US. As an educator, Tom takes a holistic approach towards learner development by challenging learners to connect language skills in the classroom to other areas of interest and curiosity. In his free time, Tom enjoys being outdoors, reading, and sampling a wide variety of cuisines.
