Zhen has been teaching English as a foreign language at colleges and universities in China for years, with a BA in English from Nankai University and an MA in Intercultural Communication from Peking University. She then lived and worked in the UK before moving to Singapore. Since 2023, she has been teaching English as a Second Language in Secondary School at Nexus and is now a dedicated Primary EAL specialist teacher. She holds a CELTA (Pass B) and is pursuing a PGCE qualification from the UK. She is also an internationally qualified Chinese teacher with rich teaching experience. Her passion for teaching is to mould and nurture young people. She believes that during the life-long learning process, teaching ensures that each learner is inspired and supported in becoming the best they can be. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, skiing, yoga, tennis and general fitness, in addition to reading, drawing and maintaining a healthy diet.
