Admission to Nexus International School (Singapore) is open to learners of all nationalities who demonstrate the capacity to benefit from the challenging international curriculum offered by the school.
We do not discriminate against individuals based on race, colour, religion, disability or ethnic background. In instances where learning support would be needed, suitability of each candidate is considered on a case by case basis to ensure that we are able to meet the learning needs of each child.
We may also take into account a learner’s educational and linguistic background in order to fulfil the school’s duty to provide education in the English medium to the International community.
As students join Nexus from countries and educational systems around the world, the exact age requirements for each year group varies. The final decision on the grade level a student is to join will be dependent upon the assessment and/or interview at the time of application and previous school records. As a general rule, students at Nexus fall in the following age groups at the start of the academic year in August:

Normal progression is to the next age appropriate course but discussions happen in Term 4 for learners who may be chosen to move to a different course. Parents can request a course change mid-year but such changes are extremely rare.
VIEW A STUDENT CONTRACT SAMPLEIn accordance with Singapore law, Nexus may only admit students who are not Singapore Citizens (by either birth or registration). Students who are Singapore Citizens require approval from the Ministry of Education (MOE) before acceptance to Nexus can be considered.
Students who hold a Student’s Pass must also meet the minimum attendance requirement of 90% as required by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Families should advise the school when children are not able to attend. The school will contact families in the case of unexplained absences.
Nexus has appointed recruitment agents to assist parents in the application to our School. Agents will be re- viewed and approved on an annual basis.
