At Nexus International School, we empower our learners to develop resilience and achieve athletic excellence through a culture of sportsmanship. The recent Nexus Sports Awards Ceremony beautifully showcased this spirit, honouring outstanding achievements across a range of sports. By celebrating these achievements we inspire our learners to keep striving for their best on and off the field.
The Nexus Sports Awards Ceremony was hosted by our Year 12 learners and Sports Ambassadors, Marco and Lilly. The auditorium was full of excitement and pride as we celebrated the achievements of our learner athletes throughout the academic year.
As Sports Ambassadors, Lilly and Marco take on leadership roles at Nexus, promoting excellence in sports and fostering a sense of community within Nexus.
At the Sports Awards Ceremony, three special awards were presented including the Athlete/Player of the Year award which honours learners who excelled in their sport while demonstrating great sportsmanship and teamwork – transferable skills that will benefit them in any environment. The Most Improved Athlete/Player of the Year award recognises learners who have made remarkable progress throughout the year. Rounding out the awards the Club Athlete of the Year celebrates learners who embody teamwork and positivity within their team.
Congratulations to the winners of each award across the sports categories.
As we wrap up the 2024 Sports Awards, we’re excited for what lies ahead.
Under the leadership of our Sports Director Mr. Bevan and Mr. Luke, we envision growing this event into an annual Sports Awards Dinner, led by our learner-athletes and Sports Ambassadors.
A massive well done to all of our Nexus Athletes and a big thank you to all of the coaches. The Nexus Sports Awards Ceremony was more than just a recognition of athletic talent; it was a celebration of the unwavering dedication, perseverance, and collaborative spirit you’ve all demonstrated throughout the year.
