The IGCSE is a two-year programme that provides learners with an internationally recognised secondary qualification. As an externally assessed examination, it offers learners a valuable and official record of their academic achievements. At Nexus, we offer IGCSEs through Cambridge International Education (CIE) and Edexcel.

The IGCSEs are a valuable experience for learners as it sets them up with essential exam-taking skills, giving them more confidence before they tackle the IBDP.

Each learner has unique strengths, needs and aspirations – that’s why we take a flexible approach to the number of IGCSEs our learners take. While we generally recommend five core subjects and three electives, we remain flexible, focusing on the quality of the grades over the quantity to find the most suitable programme for each individual.

With small class sizes and dedicated subject specialists, our learners receive personalised attention and build strong, supportive relationships with their teachers and peers, ensuring they feel fully supported both academically and emotionally.

Alongside academics, we incorporate non-examined lessons that nurture physical, social, and emotional wellbeing, as well as opportunities for enrichment through guest speakers and off-campus visits. This balanced and holistic approach not only prepares learners for exams but also empowers them to thrive in a comprehensive, well-rounded environment
