Hemangi Ahire
Hemangi is a passionate Computer Science teacher who has been teaching for more than 8 years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education (Learning Sciences and Technologies) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and has done her bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from Mumbai University, India. She has taught across acclaimed IB international schools in Singapore. In addition to her experience and personal qualities, she has a solid educational foundation and a passion for computers and technology.
Hemangi greatly values the relationships that she forms with her students. Her teaching philosophy is very simple: students do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. She shows care for her students and tries to help them find their dreams and strengths so they can believe in them.
She has written an article on “Designing An Engaging Asynchronous Learning Environment For Students” which has been published in the Inderscience Journal of Social Media and Interactive Learning Environments. This article was intended to provide fellow teachers with some suggestions on how to incorporate technology into their teaching to engage students in a blended learning environment.
Bearing in mind the encouraging words that she received from her former students, Hemangi constantly upgrades herself with new technological developments and strives to constantly become better teacher.
In her spare time, she enjoys meeting up with her friends and loves cooking and baking for her family.
