Originally from Colombia, Joaquín has been working in education for over 12 years. He holds a degree in Psychology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and an iPGCE in Special Education from the University of East London. He has a deep belief in the power of inclusion, not just as an educational approach, but as a way of life. Just like nature thrives on diversity, Joaquín believes our classrooms should reflect and celebrate the differences that make each learner unique.
Most of his experience has been in Colombia, where he’s had the opportunity to work closely with learners, families, and teachers to build supportive learning environments. He is dedicated to create classroom environments where everyone feels welcome, understood, and encouraged to grow into well-rounded individuals — both academically and personally.
Joaquín is especially passionate about how technology can support learning, and he’s always exploring new ways to make education more engaging and accessible. He’s fascinated by the potential of video games in education and loves finding creative ways to bring those tools into the classroom.
Outside of school, you’ll probably find him reading, playing guitar, or diving into the latest tech trends. His goal as an educator is simple: to keep learning, keep adapting, and use everything he learns to make a difference in the lives of his learners.
