YEAR 5-6 LEARNING HUB

Learning is not confined to four walls. Our Year 5 & 6 Learning Hub adapts to every learning style, offering quiet zones for focus, collaborative spaces for group projects, integrated Makerspaces, kitchens, and Design areas for hands-on exploration.

Between classrooms

Currently open, these whiteboards wall double as partitions as well as space to work on or project lesson materials. This is just one of the many ways we use versatile elements to increase flexibility in our classroom set ups. In this class, these two classroom teachers have opened the walls to combine their classes and co-teach, offering their learners the beenfits of two educators and the opportunity to collaborate with another class. This dynamic setup enhances the learning experience for everyone!

Tables joined as three

Can you count how many table configurations are shown in this video? Our classrooms are equipped with modular furniture that learners and teachers can move around to adjust to the activities and lessons they're currently working on. These options also cater to various working styles and needs, allowing learners to use them as creative work spaces, even giving them the ability to jot down their ideas and thoughts directly on the desks themselves! We reimagine learning as we empower learners and teachers to use their spaces in the way that best suits them.

Walls that double as whiteboards

Every detail in the classroom is crafted with purpose, including these walls that double as whiteboards. This flexibility gives both learners and teachers the freedom to utilise these surfaces in various ways—decorating the learning space, jotting own notes, or other activities. Such a versatile setting fosters a lively and interactive classroom experience for everyone.

Kids around the sofas

Learning can happen anywhere, and sometimes, we do it somewhere comfier, like these couches! With a dynamic setup, learners can break free from conventional desk setups and find their own comfortable spot in their classrooms. Whether they prefer working alone or collaborating closely with their peers, learners are empowered to make choices about how they learn, which encourages them to take ownership of their own growth and learning.
