Andy has extensive teaching experience across the UK and Asia in independent, government, and international schools. He holds a degree and PGCE from the University of Sheffield and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the Open University. Andy is also a certified Senior Mental Health Lead and SafeTALK Trainer. Formerly the Head of Languages Other than English at Nexus, Andy now serves as Director of Education Outside the Classroom. His work with UK Mountain Rescue and the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award equips him to plan residential and exploratory learning programs. Andy also collaborates with colleagues to manage a growing number of CCAs. His work fosters intercultural and outdoor learning that inspires young people to discover passions, develop their characters and guide their futures.
