Clare has been teaching since 2006 and graduated with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Warwick in 2023. She was previously an IB PYP Coordinator and teachers’ mentor. Her love for teaching started when she had her first daughter. She enjoys seeing the progress and growth of the children she teaches across the time they spent with her. Clare is passionate about learner agency and empowering her learners to be self-adjusters in their learning. She believes that learners are capable of designing their learning goals. With support, they are able to develop skills and strategies to further refine their learning. She looks forward to creating authentic engagements and working closely with the learners and their families at Nexus. Outside of school, Clare enjoys spending time with her family and dog, travelling, reading and exercising.
