Dan is from Beijing, China and brings over 14 years of experience in teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language to her role. She holds a First Class Honours degree from Oxford Brookes University and a PGCE from the University of Bath, both in the United Kingdom.
Dan has worked in the UK, the Philippines and China before moving to Singapore. She believes that learning Mandarin is not only about acquiring a language, but also about opening the door to deeper cultural understanding and meaningful global connections. Her teaching philosophy centres on creating a stimulating and supportive environment where learners feel confident to grow at their own pace. Her aim is to guide learners towards becoming both proficient Mandarin speakers and thoughtful global citizens.
Outside the classroom, Dan enjoys jogging and spending time outdoors.
