Originally from Lille in the north of France, Housna is first and foremost, an educator. She holds a State Diploma in Counselling and a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Lille. She also holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master 1 degree in Teaching French as a Foreign and Second Language from the Universities of Grenoble and Le Mans.
Housna has worked in France, Belgium, and Singapore. Since the age of 16, she has been working with children, first as a youth leader, then as an educator and teacher. Over the years, she has gained experience with learners of all ages (primary to secondary) and from diverse backgrounds, including multicultural environments, learners facing social challenges, teenagers with behavioral difficulties, native speakers, non-native speakers, and adult learners. This rich diversity has shaped her ability to continually adapt her teaching to meet the individual needs of each learner.
Housna believes that every child is unique and is committed to supporting each learner in achieving their personal goals. She views language not only as a tool for communication, but also as a powerful way to explore different cultures, broaden perspectives, and develop critical thinking.
As a mother of three children, Housna understands the importance of creating a warm, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where learners feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, and grow. She aims to foster a love for the French language and cultivate a genuine excitement for learning.
Outside of teaching, Housna always carries a book in her bag. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people, discovering new cultures, and embracing new experiences.
