Karen hails from New Zealand where her teaching career began more than 25 years ago. She started teaching in public schools where she taught intermediate aged children and core music. She then left for London to travel and further her experiences as an educator. Thereafter, Karen worked in Abu Dhabi at international schools and its national oil company teaching English to their employees. Further teaching experiences were in Dubai and Singapore at international schools. The IB curriculum and particularly its delivery at Nexus International School (Singapore) makes the teaching and learning new and exciting every day. Karen’s 3 children have all attended IB schools, with 2 currently at Nexus. Hobbies include knitting, sewing, music, photography and baking.
