Lisa Smith was born in the UK where she spent a decade working in various schools and colleges after graduation. After taking a gap period of extensive travelling, she then worked in various countries in Asia as a teacher, such as Shanghai (China) and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). Finally in 2013, she made her move to Nexus Singapore where she has been ever since. Throughout her career, Lisa has had considerable experience in teaching the 11-18 age range including all aspects of the IGCSE, IB and A’ Level syllabi. She is deeply passionate for her subject and for teaching as a whole. Her classroom is a learning focused environment in which students of all abilities are able to achieve. As well as travelling, Lisa likes to make the most of the culture and arts scene that Singapore has to offer. She also enjoys swimming, long walks, going to the cinema and reading detective novels.
