Originally from China, Yazhen has been working in education in Singapore since 2009. She has extensive experience teaching children from preschool to primary school levels. She holds a Specialist Diploma in Special Education Needs (Preschool) (Mandarin) and a Diploma in Teaching Chinese Language.

Yazhen believes that learning should be joyful and meaningful. She integrates singing, dancing, and dramatic play into her teaching to spark children’s interest in learning. She sees children as naturally curious and capable thinkers who are eager to explore and make sense of the world around them.

Yazhen values building trusting and positive relationships with her learners, using play and hands-on experiences to support their development. She respects each child as a unique individual and is committed to creating a warm, inclusive environment where every voice is heard.

In her free time, Yazhen enjoys reading, spending time in nature, and exploring creative teaching approaches.
