Suzie has been part of the Nexus community since 2019 and is now Year 4 Year Leader and a Year 4 Homeroom Teacher. She began her journey at Nexus as a Classroom Assistant in Kindergarten before completing her Postgraduate Certificate in Education through the University of Warwick, while co-teaching in Years 1 and 2.

Before becoming a teacher, Suzie graduated from Imperial College London with a Master’s degree in Geology and worked as a Chartered Accountant in the UK. Her varied career has given her a strong belief in lifelong learning, curiosity and the importance of embracing new challenges.

Suzie is passionate about creating a classroom community where every learner feels known, valued and included. Kindness and strong relationships are at the heart of her approach, alongside encouraging learners to become confident, independent and reflective. In her role as Year Leader, she particularly enjoys building a strong sense of community across the Year 4 family and working collaboratively with learners, families and colleagues.

Outside the classroom, Suzie is passionate about sport and staying active. She has coached Nexus Cross Country and Athletics and is actively involved in the Primary Triathlon CCA and Team Nexus Aquathlon events. A keen triathlete herself, she enjoys swimming, cycling and running and regularly competes in triathlons. Away from school and sport, Suzie loves travelling and exploring new places with her husband and two children.
