May began her journey at Nexus as an Early Years Classroom Assistant before moving into her current role as a Primary EAL teacher. Before joining Nexus, she worked as a Montessori educator and founded a sensory-play business for young children.

May is passionate about supporting multilingual learners to develop the confidence and language they need to participate fully in school life. She believes that children learn best through meaningful relationships, purposeful play in a nurturing, language-rich environment.

Originally from Malaysia, May has lived in Singapore for over a decade and now calls it home with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys working towards her Goodreads reading target – an endeavour frequently interrupted by her children’s snack requests!
