Jessica is originally from Nottingham in the UK and has over 23 years of experience teaching Secondary Science. She has worked in a variety of schools in the UK and has been teaching in Singapore since 2009. Jessica has extensive experience delivering IGCSE Science, MYP Science, IB and A Level Biology, as well as IB Environmental Systems and Societies. More recently, she has also been teaching IB Psychology.

She believes in inspiring learners through engaging, real-world analogies that bring abstract concepts to life. Her teaching approach emphasises active learning and the creation of a supportive classroom environment where all learners are encouraged to achieve their personal best.

Jessica has two children who are part of the Nexus community. Outside the classroom, she enjoys trekking in Singapore’s nature reserves, particularly the trails around Bukit Timah Hill. She also loves exploring the beaches of Southeast Asia with her family whenever the opportunity arises.
