As a caring and enthusiastic educator, Katie joins Nexus as a Secondary English teacher with previous experience teaching in the U.K and China. She is passionate about developing learners into kind, thoughtful and inquisitive young people who can make a real difference to the world. Katie enjoys teaching English as it allows her to explore Language and Literature through the eyes of her learners and view their unique perspectives. Katie completed her PGCE with the University of Exeter and has completed the National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership. As a curious learner, she is excited at the opportunity to collaborate and learn from other teachers and learners at Nexus. Outside of school, Katie places great importance upon health and wellbeing, so she enjoys staying active through yoga and playing various sports or relaxing with a good book.
