Her teaching philosophy centres on nurturing confident, curious learners and encouraging them to take ownership of their learning journey. She brings warmth and creativity to her practice, drawing on her background in the performing arts —particularly drama— to build learner confidence and self-expression.

Shiv has held a range of leadership roles throughout her career, including curriculum development, pastoral care, and whole-school literacy and research initiatives. She has a particular interest in using technology to enhance learning and in using literature to build intercultural understanding across the curriculum.

Beyond the classroom, Shiv enjoys reading, going to the theatre, and exploring Singapore and the world with her husband, two young children, and their two cats. She is excited to contribute to the vibrant Nexus community and continue growing as an educator and leader.
