Born and raised in Colombia, German’s journey into science began with a BSc in Biology. After graduating, German worked as an environmental consultant, surveying amphibians and reptiles, which deepened his understanding of the natural world and led him to pursue his MSc in Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in the UK. Alongside this, German completed a postgraduate qualification in curriculum and pedagogy.
German’s interest in education developed during his time in consultancy, where he delivered environmental training and discovered a passion for teaching. This experience shaped German’s approach in the classroom, where he focuses on curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful inquiry, encouraging learners to ask questions, think independently, and apply their learning to real-world contexts. He aims to foster a classroom environment built on respect, support, and authenticity.
Outside the classroom, he can often be found on a tennis court or exploring new restaurants.
