Lynda Charlesworth
Science Teacher
Bachelor of Science in Physics - University of Liverpool Postgraduate Certificate in Education - University of Liverpool

Lynda studied Physics and completed her teacher training at the University of Liverpool. She began her teaching career at Anfield School in Liverpool, where she also developed a lifelong passion for Liverpool Football Club.

Lynda has travelled widely throughout Asia and also spent several years living in Sydney, Australia, where she worked in a variety of roles, including teaching Physics at SCEGGS, Darlinghurst. She later became Head of Science at The Camden School for Girls in North London.

Most recently, Lynda has spent the past three years teaching Physics at North London Collegiate School (Singapore), where she has taught across the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. She is delighted to be joining the Nexus community and looks forward to inspiring learners to develop curiosity, confidence and a love of science.

Outside the classroom, Lynda enjoys following her beloved Liverpool FC, reading widely and attending live music events. She also loves swimming. Born in Zambia, where her father was a PE teacher, some of Lynda’s earliest memories are of swimming every day — a love of the water that she has been delighted to rediscover while living in Singapore.
