Originally from the United Kingdom, Steve has taught in international schools in Hong Kong and Singapore. With a BSc. from Durham University and a PGCE from the University of Sunderland, Steve brings a learner-centred philosophy to everything he does. He believes learning should be fun, meaningful and relatable — helping learners draw connections between the classroom and their own lives to spark genuine engagement. His lessons are designed to be both physically and mentally active, making experiences more memorable and building the independence and resilience learners need beyond school. Central to Steve’s teaching is fostering a classroom culture of kindness, collaboration and curiosity, where every child feels safe to dare to be different.
Outside the classroom, Steve enjoys running, cycling and keeping up with his two young children.
